Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality

• ONLY Indian Nationals are eligible.

2. Educational Qualification & Passing Year

• Candidates must possess the required degree from a recognized Board/University as a regular student.
• Candidates who passed their qualifying examination in the last five years (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026) are ONLY eligible.
• Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying exam but whose results have not been declared/available on or before the last date of application submission are NOT eligible.
• Candidates with higher qualifications are NOT eligible.

3. Age Limit

• Minimum Age: Not less than 18 years.
• Maximum Age & Relaxations: As per the Apprentices Act - 1961, Apprentice Rules 1992, and NATS 2.0 Guidelines.

4. Prior Experience / Training Restriction

• Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training, are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under any organization, or have job experience of 1 year or more after obtaining essential qualifications are NOT eligible.

5. PwBD Candidates

• PwBD candidates are eligible only for the designated trades as per Apprenticeship Rules 1992.

Selection Procedure

Stage	Process Details
Shortlisting	Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of academic merit / written test / interview / walk-in interview or a combination thereof, subject to satisfactory verification of documents.
HEMRL Criteria	HEMRL reserves the right to adopt its own shortlisting criteria and is not obliged to shortlist all candidates who fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria.
Contract Approval	The selection will be deemed final only after online approval of the contract by the competent authority via NATS 2.0 portal.

How to Apply

1. NATS Registration: Degree candidates must first register on the NATS 2.0 Portal.
2. Download Application Form: Download the prescribed offline application form from the DRDO official vacancies page.
3. Fill Form: Fill out all fields in CAPITAL LETTERS carefully. Mention marks obtained in percentage. If CGPA is awarded and no conversion formula is given by the university, calculate percentage as: % of Marks = CGPA x 9.5.
4. Photo & Signature: Affix a recent passport-size photograph and sign the application form with an ink pen.
