Eligibility Criteria (As on 01/02/2026)
1. Educational Qualifications & Minimum Marks
- General Aggregate Percentage Requirement: Minimum 60% aggregate in the final year of Engineering Graduation / Post-Graduation (55% for SC/ST category candidates wherever vacancies are reserved for them).
- Final Year Students: Candidates currently in their final year of Graduation or Post-Graduation are not eligible to apply.
- Specific Discipline Requirements:
- MT (Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / Civil / IT): 4-year B.E. / B.Tech degree or 3-year lateral B.E. / B.Tech after 3-year Diploma in respective engineering branches from UGC/AICTE recognized institutions.
- MT (Boiler): B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical / Petrochemical / Mechanical / Instrumentation / Electrical discipline AND a valid Boiler Operation Engineer’s Certificate (BOE) / Boiler Proficiency Certificate issued by Statutory Authority.
- MT (Materials): B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical, Petrochemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation disciplines.
- MT (Fire): B.E. / B.Tech in Fire or Fire & Safety Discipline.
- MT (CC LAB): Ph.D. in Chemistry OR B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical / Petrochemical / Chemical Technology. (Preference to Ph.D. holders; no percentage criteria for Ph.D. candidates).
- MT (Industrial Engineering): B.E. / B.Tech in Industrial Engineering OR B.E. / B.Tech in any discipline with a 2-year full-time PG Degree/Diploma in Industrial Engineering / Industrial Engineering & Management / Operations Research.

Salary, Stipend, and Service Bond
- Training Period & Stipend: Candidates will undergo 1 year of training with a consolidated stipend of ₹60,000/- per month. Free hostel accommodation/sharing quarters will be provided at Trombay / Thal.
- Absorption & Pay Scale: Upon successful completion of 1-year training, trainees will be absorbed as Officers in the E1 Grade in the pay scale of ₹40,000 - ₹1,40,000/-. Total monthly gross emoluments will be approximately ₹86,320/- (Basic Pay + VDA + Perks + HRA + Allowances).
- Service Bond: Selected candidates must execute a service bond of ₹2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs) for 4 years (including 1 year of training) in the form of a Fixed Deposit with lien marked to RCF Ltd.
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection process consists of two stages: Online Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Personal Interview.
1. Computer Based Online Test
- Total Duration: 90 Minutes
- Total Questions: 100 Questions
- Discipline / Domain Related: 50 Questions (2 Marks each) = 100 Marks
- Aptitude Section: 50 Questions (1 Mark each) = 50 Marks (General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General Knowledge/Awareness)
- Negative Marking: Applicable for wrong answers.
- Medium of Test: English and Hindi (Rajbhasha).
- Exam Test Cities: Bhopal, Delhi/NCR, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Guwahati, Kolkata, Mumbai/Navi Mumbai/Thane/MMR region, and Nagpur.
2. Document Verification & Personal Interview
- Shortlisted candidates in the ratio of 1:7 based on CBT performance will be called for Document Verification and Personal Interview.
- Interview qualifying mark is a minimum average of 50%.
