Duties & Responsibilities of Canteen Attendant
- Preparing tea, coffee, juice, etc., for users.
- Serving tea, coffee, biscuits, etc., in official meetings.
- Providing regular room service to officers and staff.
- Collecting used cups, plates, and utensils post-meetings and from senior officers’ rooms.
- Washing crockery and utensils in three stages (running normal water, hot detergent water, and potassium permanganate solution).
- Sweeping and washing floor areas.
- Dusting and cleaning furniture in canteens.
- Cleaning cooking slabs and kitchen areas.
- Any other task assigned by the Canteen In-charge.
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
Stage 1: Shortlisting for Written Exam
- Basis: Shortlisting based on 10th-standard marks percentage.
- Ratio: 280 candidates (40 candidates per vacancy) shortlisted for the written test.
Stage 2: Objective Type Written Examination
- Exam Center: Bhopal, M.P. only.
- Duration: 30 minutes (40 minutes for candidates with scribe).
- Total Questions: 40 Multiple Choice Questions (1 mark each).
- Negative Marking: 0.25 mark ($1/4^{th}$) deducted for each incorrect answer.
